How To Start A Profitable Taxi Business in 2019

June 07, 2019

We all know the popularity of online taxi app services like Uber, Gett, and Ola. One of the modern day business conundra is how did Uber and Lyft make such a profitable taxi business in such a short time.
Today we will be decoding the secrets of these world-class on-demand taxi apps and how you too can become a global sensation like them. But before getting into the nitty-gritty of a successful online taxi business, let’s learn why you should even try for this business vertical.

Facts to Fuel Your Enthusiasm

- One of the top investment banks, Goldman Sachs predicted that the on-demand ride-sharing and taxi industry would reach $285 Billion within the next 10 years.
- The US Bureau of Labor Statistics is confident that in just a year the demand for taxi drivers and chauffeurs will rise by 20% in the US alone.
- Grab gets around 4 million rides each day. Just think how many rides would it be for the more popular Uber and Lyft.

Now that (hopefully) you are thrilled by the numbers and pumped by our intro, let’s find out how you will become from “just another local taxi company” to “the Top Online Taxi Company of the world.”

1. Research Is The Key (You Better Find The Lock). There is no better and free tool to improve your business than a detailed analysis. Yes, Google is free and one of the most precise tools with infinite data to go through. You can also hire a good business analyst (if you wish to go for a more professional approach) to do the same job and provide you a complete business analysis report.

The things that you need to research and understand are who your competitors are. Uber, Lyft, and Grab may seem the obvious ones, but you should go more in-depth. When setting up the business, you’ll be starting from a local region. So search who is the “king of the streets” for that city.

Then learn what their business model is, how are they operating and how are they earning. Trust me they don’t just earn from the ride fares.

2. Learn Who Your Passengers Are (And What They Hate)
Business niche is the most profitable business approach not only for taxi app startup but for any on-demand product or service startup. Better go for a section of the market unexplored and then expand with time.

Businesses like Uber and Lyft have a solid financial and market backing and to challenge them in the starting years of your business is a suicide mission. So carve out a niche for yourself and become the best in that before growing.

Learn what the pet peeves of your competitor’s passengers are. Try to solve those problems and provide services where your competitors lack. For instance, start a unique taxi service for elderly people or disabled individuals, or go for a tie-up with various communities.

3.Invest In Technology (And Technology Will Invest In You)

The most prominent partner of online businesses is not their marketing team or their administrative team. Your key partner would be your technology partner. The taxi mobile app development company that you will hire to develop your business app.

You have two approaches to your app development process. Either invest a fortune in app development and build your app from scratch with a dedicated app development team which will also take around 14-18 months overall.

The other option is to go for an Uber-like taxi app solution. What this option provides is that you get an already developed taxi app that is built based on the top taxi apps like Lyft, Grab, and Uber and you can customize the app as per your design and features.

This way you can create the best taxi app for you in a small budget without compromising the quality of your business app and getting all the freedom to customize how your app will look and feel with all the latest app features of the time.

Final Word
Starting a profitable taxi app business in this time and age is a tough task but once you succeed it is one of the most profitable business startups of our times. If you follow the steps given here and get the best taxi mobile app development company as your partner, then you will be ready to start your journey.
I wish you farewell and good luck for your future. Stay strong and build your business to new heights.

Air Taxi! Bell Courts Consumers With New eVTOL Aircraft Design

January 19, 2019

In 2018, Bell dropped the “helicopter” from its name and adopted a dragonfly as its logo to emphasize a move away from traditional rotorcraft toward new, innovative means of vertical flight.

That same impulse drove Bell to use the Consumer Electronics Show, rather than an aviation industry event, as the venue for rolling out its new Nexus electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft, which should be ready to ferry passengers above clogged city streets by the mid-2020s.

Bell unveiled the basic fuselage design at the 2018 Consumer Electronics Show, but “kept the flying bits to ourselves,” according to Scott Drennan, the company’s vice president of innovation. At this year’s CES in Las Vegas, Bell unveiled a full-scale model of the prototype, creating much social media buzz and drawing the likes of Kanye West to sit in the blue-mood-lit cockpit.

Six ducted fans, every eight feet in diameter, are arranged with two attached to the fuselage forward, two attached to the fuselage aft and two at the end of stub wings. Each fan can rotate forward to provide thrust and lift in forwarding flight. Read more
